Beautiful Harvey Station, surrounded by rolling hills in the heart of glorious New Brunswick lake country, will be the site of exciting events in 2009 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of legendary fiddler and native son Don Messer.

Don Messer’s Jubilee was one of the most watched television programs in Canada in the 1960s. He was born in the tiny community of Tweedside near Harvey Station and that’s where celebrations will kick off, with an official ceremony and a luncheon with Messer’s two surviving daughters.

Come join us from August 1-8, 2009 for a week of fun-filled family activities, including fiddle performances, contests and workshops, tours of the beautiful Harvey area, community breakfasts, an artisans market and lots of old fashioned country hospitality.

Don Messer left an incredible musical legacy in Harvey Station. Come help us celebrate our famous fiddler from August 1-8, 2009.
